Overview

Koprivnicki Bregi is a community just few kilometers SE of Koprivnica with some 3200 inhabitants. The coat of arms and the flag are described in the statutes of 2001 issued in the official gazette (avilable on <www.glasila.hr>): Statut Opcine Koprivnicki Bregi, 4. listopada 2001. Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, br. 11/01, god. IX, Koprivnica, 5. listopada 2001.
They must have been adopted somewhat earlier, say about 1997. The coat of arms is Azure a Scallop Or over a Tripple Mount issuant Vert.
The flag is yellow with the coat of arms set in the middle.

The Ministry approved the design on 25 February 1997. It was designed by Draženka Jalšic Ernecic, art historian from Koprivnica and author of some other coat of arms in Koprivnica-Križevci County.
The scallop is called locally Peter's Ear and insite of the name it is an attribute of St. Roch (Sv. Rok, probbaly most well know after Italian version St. Rocco), the patron of the community. The mounts in base cant the name Bregi (literally meaning 'hills').

The official gazette since 2000 is available on the web site of the County at <www.kckzz.hr> including decisions on symbols of its cities and communities. The communities adopted new statutes in 2006, typically containing the descriptions of coat of arms and flags adopted previously, so I just quote them for documetry purposes:

The web site at <library.foi.hr> include a project of digitazing of the regional journal Glas Podravine, from its first issues in 1951.
- An article from 1995 has a concourse for symbols of Koprivnicki Bregi (3000 and 2000 HRK).
- An article from 1996 includes again a story on Grgic, mentioning that he designed the county Coat of Arms, won the concourances for the Coats of Arms for Đurdevac and Koprivnicki Bregi and other non heraldry and vexilology related esigns.
- An article from 1997 report the ceremony of consacration o fthe flag of Koprivnicki Bregi (inclding a photo from the ceremony), designed by Draženka Jalšic, in the local church by the priest Josip Košcak. The flag is yellow symbolizing the corn fields, with the Coat of Arms inlcuing on a blue shield, a shell for St. Roch and triple hill canting for "Bregi" (=hills).
