There are some flag related things in this city site, starting
with homepage at <www.ogulin.hr>
with coats of arms of Ogulin (this is a city some70 km SW of
Zagreb) and the County of Karlovac (both appear with their
flags).

The 2009
Statutes of Ogulin (Statut Grada Ogulina, 17.07.2009, Glasnik
Karlovacke upanije, ?/2009) include the same reference to
the 1995 decision on the adoption of the symbols as the previous
2006 Statutes (Statut Grada Ogulina (prociceni tekst),
23.03.2006, Glasnik Karlovacke upanije, 10/2006) - however,
adding a reference to a decision from the gazette nr. 8/2002 -
which presumably includes a decision on amendments of the 1995
decision. The 2002 decision must include soem minor and
non-design-related changes.

The flag that is apparently used is different from the
description of the ceremonial flag in the Decision, which reads:
"Red flag with the coat of arms of the City of Ogulin in
canton. To the right of the coat of arms is a silver fort with
two simetrical towers. To the left and right of the fort are the
images of golden oak and linden branches. Above the fort is
silver shape of Klek. The inscription 'Grad Ogulin' in
golden letters is above the Klek shape. The flag is fringed with
gold."

The coat of arms of the City of Ogulin is Gules, two bars
Argent. In chief a mullet Or, in base a Latin cross Or. The star
originates from the family coat of arms of Frankopans, who owned
the fort among other their possessions. Mount Klek is certainly a
characteristic shape for the region, while oak and linden are
important elements of old Croatian symbolic, even from
pre-Christian era.

This is the flag of Ogulin Manufacturers' Association, as it
is obvious from the inscription, it is from year 1908. The
caption says that this is the original flag of the association.
