Polembros operates a fleet of c. 35 vessels.
In October 2003, a tanker operated by Polembros sank off Karachi and
caused a huge oil spill. The oil spill occurred in a rich tropical marine ecosystem, home to
extensive mangrove forests, Green and Olive Ridley sea turtles,
dolphins, porpoises, beaked whales and several species of lizards and
sea snakes.
In March 2004, the Aframax tanker Everton, operated by Polembros
under the Maltese flag, was ablaze in the Arabian Sea following a
collision with a fishing vessel.

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of Shipping Companies of the World (1995) [lgr95], the house flag of Polembros is horizontally divided yellow-blue-yellow (c. 1:3:1) with a white disk charged with a red limping Greek letter Π.

According to Brown's Flags and Funnels of Shipping Companies of the World (1995) [lgr95], the house flag of L & W is a blue burgee with a red disk and a white Greek letter Π.
