The no longer maintained website of the company says:
Dane Sea Line, a Rhodes based publicly owned shipping company, was established in 1979, and entered the Athens Stock Exchange in November 1994. The company serves the Dodecanese Islands (Rhodes, Kos, Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Astipalea, Symi, Tilos, Nissiros, Lipsi and Kastelorizo), the Cyclades (Syros, Paros, Naxos, Amorgos and Mykonos) and Thessaloniki and Samos. The Company owns four passenger Ferries (Patmos, Rodos, Ialyssos and Leros) and two ro-ros (ParkHaven and RinjHaven)
Figures stop in 1997 and prices are given in drachmas. In 1998, the
listing of the company was suspended by the Athens Stock Exchange.
In autumn 2004, the crews of three ships owned by Dane Sea Line were
finally able to collect part of the back pay owed to them, after trade
unions and the Greek Ministry of Merchant Marine intervened to set in
motion the process of auctioning off the company’s assets to meet its
obligations. Employees on the Diagoras, Rhodos and Patmos, three
passenger ships sailing between Piraeus and the Dodecanese islands, did
not receive their pay for three months or more during the first half of
2004, due to the poor financial standing of the ship-owner, DANE Sea
Line.
Accordong to the Simplon Postcards website, Dane Sea Lines began the process to liquidate in 2005. It was 41.87% owned by ANEK at this time. The fleet at this time was Diagoras, Patmos and Rhodos, which have been offered for sale.
