In the Daily Observer, 22 November 2006, Nanama Keita reports the journey of the flag of the NAYCONF (National Youth Conference) from the Independence Stadium, Bakau to the official opening ceremony of the conference, scheduled to 15 December 2006 at Brikama, Western Region.
The Point, 26 October 2006, tells us that NAYCONF
is a bi-annual event, which meant to bring 1500 young people from all over the country to share their experience and dilate on issues that affect their lives.…
The first edition of NAYCONF was held in 1999 in the Kanifing Municipality followed by Upper River Division [Basse] in 2001 and the last event was held in Banjul in 2004
The logotype of the 1999 NAYCONF is shown on the Kingfisher Trust website, but there is no hint about the flag of the Conference.
