On 8 October 2006, the magazine Vesti nedeli (Russian TV) showed
a speech by President Saakashvili. On the President's right stood the national flag of Georgia, and on his left a most probable presidential flag.
As far as it could be seen, this flag is made of three vertical stripes - blue, white and blue (approximately 3:5:3) - with a coloured coat of arms in the center of the white stripe. Two gold lions rampant hold a shield consisting of four fields - red and blue. In the center of the shield is a blue smaller shield with the silver chiton of Christ.
In the first red field is a gold crown above two crossed swords.
In the second blue field is a gold mountain with two arrows.
In the third blue field is a silver balance.
In the fourth red field is a silver St. George.
Above the shield there is a gold crown, like in the Georgian national coat of arms.

Yahoo News! (picture no longer online) shows a photography featuring President Saakashvili in front of three flags: the Georgian national flag, the flag of the European Union and again the national flag, but charged with what seems to be the lesser national coat of arms; below the shield there is to be something like spears or swords crossed.
