Nottinghamshire County Council

The website of Newton Newton Flags shows a flag for Nottinghamshire County Council as a green flag with a voided yellow rectangle, within which is the County
Council's logo - a white "n" bearing a yellow oak tree. The tree represents Sherwood Forest.

Newark & Sherwood District Council

The website of Newton Newton Flags shows a flag for Nottinghamshire County Council as a white flag bearing the District Council's logo and title. The logo was
introduced at the end of the 1980s, and features a green tree shape - for Sherwood Forest - above a blue squiggle - probably representing the River Trent. The tree shape is "inset" (the council's words) by the silhouettes of Newark Castle and Southwell Minster Church.
