Description of the flag

A new entity in England and the flag at the same day! About the entity:

"Cheshire East, is a unitary authority with Borough status, in the ceremonial county of Cheshire. It was established in April 2009 as part of the 2009 structural changes to local government in England, by virtue of an order under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. It replaced the boroughs of Macclesfield, Congleton and Crewe and Nantwich. The rest of ceremonial Cheshire is composed of Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and Halton. The decision to create the Cheshire East unitary authority was announced on 25 July 2007 following a consultation period, in which a proposal to create a single Cheshire unitary authority was rejected. The new unitary authority will have a population of around 358,900 (2006 population estimate) and an electorate (i.e., those able to vote in its elections) of around 285,000. Cheshire East's sister authority, Cheshire West and Chester, has an electorate of around 255,000 and is 116,638 hectares in size." - from Wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheshire_East.
