The Société Strasbourgeoise d'Armement S.A. was, as the name says, a Strasbourg (inland) shipping company. Active after the Second World War, certainly on the Rhine, the company took
over the barges of Union Normande, another French firm, in 1980 and seems to
have been wound up in 2002.
Some vessels owned by the company bore the name of famous wine areas (Côtes Roties, Château Yquem); the vessel numbering indicates a rather large fleet.

Flaggen auf dem Rhein (1952 ed.) [d9e52] shows the flag as red with a white cross throughout and a blue canton bearing the white serifed letter "H", surely representing the company owner or founder. The colours recall France, of course, but primarily the red and white of Strasbourg.
A black and white photo available on the De Binnenvaert website shows the flag hoisted on the Nuits barge.
