Presentation of Société (Nantaise et) Morbihannaise de Navigation

Société (Nantaise et) Morbihannaise de Navigation was granted by the General Council of Morbihan (Brittany) a license to serve the islands of Belle-Ile, Groix, Hoat and Hoedic. The seat of the company is in Le Palais, on the island of Belle-Ile.

In 2001, the company was divided into two sister companies, which both seem to use the original flag of the mother company:

  • Société Morbihannaise de Navigation, for the services of the islands of southern Brittany;
  • Compagnie Maritime Nantaise, for the other shipping operations.

The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Compagnie Nationale de Navigation, the shipping branch of the group Worms & Cie.
