Charles Scholl is listed as a shipping company based in Bordeaux in Lloyd's book of house flags and funnels of the principal steamship lines of the world and the house flags of various lines of sailing vessels, published at Lloyd's Royal Exchange. London. E.C. (1912) [llo12], also available online thanks to the Mystic Seaport Foundation, #23, p. 38. SS Gyptis sailed under the company flag in 1903-1922.

The house flag of Charles Scholl, as shown Lloyd's book of house flags and funnels of the principal steamship lines of the world and the house flags of various lines of sailing vessels (op. cit.), is horizontally divided blue-white-blue with the blue letters
"C.S." in the middle of the white stripe.
The flag is shown as #20 on plate CXII of the 1923 release of the Album des pavillons nationaux et des marques distinctives [f9r23], but not shown in the 1928 release of the Flaggenbuch [d9e28].
