Flag of Region Bretagne

According to Ar Banniel [arb] #4 (Winter 1997), the Regional Council adopted on 30 June 1997 the modern Breton flag, to be placed in the Council's session room, as the flag of Region Bretagne.

According to P. Rault (Les drapeaux bretons de 1188 à nos jours) [rau98], the flag of the Regional Council, created by the agency Energie and officially adopted in 1988, roughly represents a map of Brittany, with the two blue stripes symbolizing the Channel (top) and the Atlantic Ocean (bottom).
