The flag of the General Council of Essonne is blue with a white
lettering "Essonne / LE CONSEIL GÉNÉRAL".
The ilmage shown above was made after a real flag observed on 21 June 2009 in the stadium of Le Coudray-Montceaux during the pedestrian race Les Foulées des Laveuses sponsored by the General Council.

The Communauté d'Agglomération Seine-Essonne was founded on 19 December 2002 by the municipalities of Corbeil-Essonnes, Le Coudray-
Montceaux, Étiolles, Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil and Soisy-sur- Seine (alltogether, c. 65,000 inhabitants), superseding the Communauté de Communes Corbeil-Essonne - Le Coudray-Montceaux, itself founded in 1996.
The community has a status of &EAcute;tablissement Public de Coopération Intercommunale (EPCI, Public Agency of Intermunicipal Cooperation), with its seat at Le Coudray-Montceaux.

During the same sports event, an other flag representing the community was used on the start line of the race. The flag is white with a different logo. The disk is divided by a dark blue line (instead of white), "Seine / Essonne", written in black italic letters is partially written on the disk, and "COMMUNAUTÉ D'AGGLOMÉRATION" is placed in an arched pattern just above the disk. Since the community website shows the logo of the first flag as official, this second flag must be obsolete.
