The French national Olympic Committee is called Comité National Olympique et Sportif Francais. His current president is Henri Serrandour.
Following the tradition, the French medalists in the Athens Olympic Games were invited on 28 September 2004 at the palais de l'Élysée, the seat of the French presidency, by President of the Republic Jacques Chirac.
The flag of the CNOSF can be seen on the group photo taken during the ceremony. The flag is white with the Olympic rings surmonted by FRANCE in blue letters. There is a red horizontal line between FRANCE and the rings.

On top of photo can be seen the flag promoting Paris as a candidate town for 2012, placed behind the group. The flag is white with the Olympic rings surmonted with the logotype PARIS 2012, in the following colours:
P red
A yellow
R black
I blue
S green
2 green
0 yellow
1 blue
2 red

The "S" of Paris and the first "2" of "2012" form a heart. The colours of the letters recall the colours of the Olympic rings, but not in the same order. VILLE CANDIDATE is written in black below the logotype. The Olympic rings are placed below the writing.

Stade Français Paris

The flag used by the supporters of this rugby club reproduces the players' jersey. It is a blue field with three parallel red lightnings with a white border. The three lightnings are stuck horizontally. Most flags used by supporters include STADE FRANCAIS in white over the lightnings, but the largest flags seen in the stadium lack this writing.
The name of the club was changed in 2003 from "Stade Français-CASG" to "Stade Français Paris". The blue flags with the lightnings and the writing Stade Français were progressively replaced by blue flags with the three lightnings placed in a blue oval bordered in white; the writing was dropped.
Stade Français plays in the Jean Bouin stadium, in Paris, close to the Parc des Princes, and the club colours probably come from the traditional colours of Paris.
