Lloyd's Book of House Flags and Funnels (1912) [llo12] shows the house flag of "Compañía Trasatlánticaa" (#176, p. 45), a company based in Barcelona, as blue with a white disk in the middle. According to a poster advertising the company and showing the house flag, the full name of the company is "Compañia Trasatlántica Española."

The company still exists, with the same house flag. Founded in 1850 in Cuba by Antonio López, the company was granted in 1861 the passenger and mail service between Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo. Elevated Marquis of Comillas by King of Spain Alfonso XII in 1878, López died in 1883. The company operated 33 vessels in 1893 and was eventually privatized in 1994.
