Description

Lloyd's Book of House Flags and Funnels (1912) [llo12] shows the house flag of "Compañía Marítima Nauclero (Azqueta y Arana)" (#73, p. 40), a company based in Bilbao, as divided red-white by an ascending diagonal, with a white "M" in the red part and a red "N" in the white part.

A "nauclero" is a ship captain or pilot.
