Introduction

The Spanish Naval League organized "Patrulla Auxiliar Marítima" (Maritime Auxiliary Patrol), that is composed by sport and pleasure crafts that want to collaborate in labors of aid and salvage while they are at sea. The principles and philosophy of the "Patrulla Auxiliar Marítima" are assistence to the salvage of the human life, and the struggle against the pollution.

Description

It is a Spanish flag. In the upper red stripe is a blue inscription: Patrulla Auxiliar, in the lower Maritima. In the centre of flag is an upright blue anchor superimposed by a red and golden steering wheel and flanked by blue capitals L and N. The anchor overlaps the yellow stripe. I observed this image in Palma de Mallorca's Western Harbour on 1 June 2009.
