The flag of the canton of Morona is horizontally divided green-white with  in canton a white rectangle charged with a yellow star. Green symbolizes the plant richness and the greenness of the valley of Upano. The yellow star that symbolizes the Most Pure Virgin of Macas. White stands for purity, serenity and peace experienced by the inhabitants of the canton of Morona.

The canton (capital, Macas) was formed on 29 May 1860.
The flag with the coat of arms is shown, as a photograph, on a PDF document available on the website of the Association of the Ecuadorian municipalities. The same flag is shown on a photograph of the municipal council, available on the municipal website.
