attached a photo of it.
It shows that the two arrow heads go on top, as shown on the House
Flag of the World Identifier web site. There is a site
called Simplon Postcards at that shows post cards of four ships that
seem to have sailed under this flag. Three named Hanseatic and one named
Hamburg that was renamed the hanseatic after the second was sold. A third
company, Hanseatic Tours, was formed in 1991 by the former captain of the
last german registered Hanseatic of Deutsche Atlantik Linie. He bought
the rights to the Deutsche Atlantik Linie logo and the name Hanseatic.
Hapag-Lloyd took over the company in 1997.
