The company is located in Hamburg at Elbchaussee together with Peter
Döhle Schiffahrts KG and Hellespont, a Greek company.
Hammonia was established as a joint venture of Peter Döhle and Hanseatische
Capitalberatungsgesellschaft (HCI) in 2003. General Electrics(GE) joined
later. The management of the company was maintained by Peter Döhle while
HCI and Hammonia together were managing attended shipping companies. During

each year.
It is a white flag with vertical black stripes at the edges of hoist
and fly. In the middle shifted to the top is a logo, three red towers of
the Hamburg castle, simplified to mere rectangles, the right and left tower
topped by a red 6-point star. Benaeth the catsle is a blue field, separated
from the castle by a white wavy line. The whole is shaped like an edgeless
shield. Below the logo is a black inscription in serifed capitals: “HAMMONIA”
above “REEDEREI”, the latter slightly smaller.
