The clubs Hallescher Ruderverein "Bllberg" von 1884 e.V. and Rudergesellschaft von 1874 "Nelson" e.V., located in Goslar, merged on 5 June 1993 in Halle.
Description of flag :
The club has a logo, showing the crossed flags of "Bllberg" and "Nelson" rowing clubs. Perhaps the club is using both flags side by side.

Please, change the name of: Hallesche Rudervereinigung Böllberg von 1884 und Nelson von 1874 e.V. im SV Halle.
The sports association was called earlier SC Chemie Halle (Sportclub Chemie Halle). Abbreviation: HRV Böllberg/Nelson
The coat of arms in the left flag corresponds to the coat of arms of Halle.
To the history of the association, or better all oar associations of Halle, there is on our website the historypage.

Have not been able to identify the following flag pin. Interesting that the style (note the rope detail wrapped around staff) matches another flagpin identified as the sport club Slavia Praha Rowing Club. Perhaps another club with international members?
Ann Meacham, 24 Jul, 2009

It might be a flagpin, showing an erroneous version of the flag, of former Rudergesellschaft „Nelson“ Halle, before German reunion located in Goslar.
The club meanwhile merged with RC Böllberg Halle and is today part of SC Halle.
The flag of “Nelson” however had only 9-stripes.(I checked it at RA77 and the club’s website as well). Due to all other parts however it is a perfect match.
To be on the safe side, I send a copy to SC Halle, maybe they can reconfirm my information.

Name: Rudergesellschaft von 1874 "Nelson" e.V.
Located in: Goslar
Established: 29 March 1874
Source: Rudersportalmanach 1977
Further information at clubs website.
Brief History:
On 13 October 1874 the club was established as Ruderklub "Nelson". By age it was the no.15 in Germany. The first race was made in 1881, when the clubs "Trafalgar" and "Neptun" had been established in Halle. In 1910 the rowing department of  "Akademischer Turnverein "Gothia" joined the club. After WWII the remaining members probably joined "Böllberg". Others re-established the club in Goslar, then (West-)Germany.
Description of flag :
It is a horizontal 9-stripes flag with alternating red and white stripes, starting with a red one. The flag has a square white canton with a blue centred cross. In the cantons canton is a blue over white over red horizontal tricolour.

Name: Hallescher Ruderverein  "Böllberg" von 1884 e.V.
Located in: Halle/Saale
Established: 5 July 1884
Source: Rudersportalmanach 1977
Further information at clubs website.
Brief History:
In 1884 the rowing clubs "Trafalgar" (established 1881) and "Germania" established 1882) merged, forming the Hallescher Ruderclub von 1884, which was renamed in 1915. The appendix "Böllberg" was added, after the club had opened a new boathouse outside the city. After WWII members of all three existing rowing clubs in Halle were united in "Bllberg". I couldn't find out, whether the name was changed or not.
Description of flag :
It is a plain white flag with two red horizontal lines. Between the lines is the coat of arms of the city of Halle, placed however into a spanish shield version 1515 (according to NEUBECKER: Wappenkunde; p.51).
