Arms: "Von Silber und Rot im Zinnenschnitt schräglinks geteilt. Oben und unten jeweils ein schräggestelltes Eschenblatt in verwechselten Farben, das rechte gestürzt."
Per bend-sinister embattled argent and gules, each counter-charged with an ash leaf bendwise, the dexter leaf inverted.

The tinctures and the embattlement are taken from the arms of the Reventlow family, for centuries the owners of Altenhof. The Ash leaves indicate the Aschau (Ash-brook) district, while the number stands for the two municipal districts, Altenhof and Aschau.

Flag: "Auf einem im Zinnenschnitt nach hinten aufwärts schräg geteilten, oben weißen, unten roten Flaggentuch die Eschenblätter des Gemeindewappens, das obere nach schräg unten, das untere weiße nach schräg oben gewendet."
On field white over red divided by an embattled rising diagonal the ash leaves from the municipal arms, the upper pointing diagonally downward, the lower pointing diagonally upward.
