Description of banner: It is a green and yellow vertical bicolour with
the coat of arms shifted to the top.
Description of coat of arms: In a golden shield are six green oak leaves
ordered 3:3.
Source: I spotted this flag in front of the local savings bank on 14
September 2009.
Note: According to www.kommunalflaggen.de the spotted flag doesn’t
match the draft, given to Hauptstaatsarchiv in Hanover on 22 November 1955.
The draft is described by Stefan Schwoon as follows: banner, vertically
divided 1:2:1 into yellow-green-yellow with coat of arms in the centre.
I cannot prove however the existence of that flag. Maybe, the colours
of the coat of arms in the 50ies of 20th century had inverted colours.
The only image, I could get, can be found at this
site, shot during the celebration of 1150 years anniversary, when the
mayor receives a document of his merits.
