Description of banner:
It is a blue and yellow vertical bicolour.
Meaning:
The two saints from the coat of arms are wearing blue clothes.
Therefore on 9 December 1966 the city chose these colours though red
and gold had been the colours of the coat of arms since 1903.
Authorized: 17 February 1977 by Regierungspräsident Detmold
Note:
A "flag" was with the same colours was authorized already on 6 July
1967 by the minister of interior of Northrhine-Westphalia. Maybe this flag
was never used.
