Flag of canton of
Curridabat, San Jose, is at photobucket.
Alberto Alexander Thomas Brown, 1 July 2009
Translated from <www.curridabat.go.cr>:
"On the occasion of the celebration of the seventieth
anniversary of the Canton of Curridabat, the girl Ana Elisa
Jimenez Amador, describes the colors and meaning of the flag as
follows:
"The colors are located diagonally to give a picture of
alliance between them, representing freedom and progress of the
people, inspired by the sky over our county.
The color white represents the soul and the love of peace of
those who live in this town. The union of the colors symbolizes
the birth of this people, a mix of Columbus and former indigenous
inhabitants, which is represented by the shield of
Canton.""
