Overview

Translated from <www.caliescali.com>: "The flag of Santiago de Cali was designed by Mayor Dr. Nicolás Ramos Hidalgo in 1928 and officialized by Decree 295 of 31 May 1954. The red stripes represent the love for Cali and the blood shed by the heroes from Cali during the battle of 3 July 1810. White represents the purity of the soul of the inhabitants of Cali and the river that crosses the city. Green symbolizes the green fields surrounding Cali."

The municipal flag and Coat of Arms are at <www.elvalle.com.co>.
