Translated from municipal web site:
"The municipal flag of La Esperanza is made of three colours, white, yellow and gree. White, located in the upper part of the flag, means peace and tranquillity, proper characteristics of the villagers: peace is understood here as the inner stage of the mind required to have good social relations with the others. Yellow, located in the middle of the flag, means the rich fertility of the soils. The lower stripe is green, meaning hope [in Spanish, "esperanza"] into a better future."
