Translated from municipal web site:
"The flag is made of a white triangle placed along the hoist, whose point reaches one third ofthe flag length, meaning the aspiration to peace as well as the ethical, social, cultural and religious values of the inhabitants of the village.
Two horizontal stripes, one green and the other yellow, emerging from the sides of the white triangle, represent the mountains, hope and the fields of the municipality (green) and the resources of the soil (yellow).
Each stripe is charged in the middle with two silver stars representing the "corregimientos" (hamlets) of Puente Julio Arboleda and San José de la Montaña, respectively."
