Overview

Remolino is a municipality in Magdalena department.There are some variations about its date of foundation. The official one is 8 December 1752 (by Don José Joaquín Zúñiga) but there are also claims about 1768 and and 1776 (by Fernando de Mier y Guerra).
The flag of Remolino is horizontally divided orange-white-green.

"The flag is made of three horizontal stripes. The upper, orange stripes represetns the strength of our people and our natural resources;  the central, white stripe represents prosperity and harmony of our people; the lower, green stripe represents our resources in marshes, flora and fauna."
