Overview

Guamal is a municipality in Magdalena department. It was founded on 16 July 1747.
The flag of Guamal is 3:5 in ratio, vertically divided white-yellow.

Translated from municipal web site:
"The author of the flag is José Eliecer Avila Martinez.
The flag, in dimension 1.80 m x 3 m, includes 'in an equidistant shape' a 'vacija' of Pre-Colombian aspect printed in an inversed manner.
The flag has two colours, white, representing peace, and red, 'diminished at 80%' by yellow.
The flag can be scaled from 1 to 50 depending on the host size."
The text is quite obscure. The photography of the flag does not show anything added in the middle of the flag. I understand that the shade of the coloured stripe must be obtained by mixing 80% yellow and 20% red, forming a dark yellow shade.
