Overview

San Alberto is municipality (since 20 May 1955) in Cesar Department.
The flag of San Alberto is diagonally divided (bottom hoist to upper fly) golden yellow-forest green with border stripe in sky-blue (wikipedia show it, wrongly as black stripe). The flag is charged with African Palm and five white stars around it. The stars represent the five "corregimientos" (sub-municipal entities) of this municipality.

Translated from municipal web site:
"Golden yellow recalls the colour of ripe rice panicles and splendidly embelishes harvest time.
The sky blue stripe symbolizes our river San Alberto del Espíritu Santo, our ponds and our main water resources.
Forest green highlights the rnatural esources of our fecund soil.
The African palm has always been our main source of income and of progress.
The five white stars represents our beautiful "corregimientos", places of peace and rurla love (La Llana, La Palma, Puerto Carreño, El Líbano and La Trinidad."
The production of palm oil by the "Indupalma" plantation, founded in the mid 1960s is the source of income of three-quarters of the inhabitants of the municipal capital. Most of the other inhabitants indirectly live from the same resource.
