Overview

Pelaya is a municipality in Cesar Department. It was officially founded on 2 December 1948 and previously called Guitarrilla and Corea. It became a municipality in 1983.
The flag of Pelaya is horizontally divided yellow-green with white triangle at the hoist which is charged by a corncob.
