González is a municipality in Cesar Department. It was
founded on 6 May 1570 by the González family.
The flag of González is horizontally divided. The upper stripe
is diagonally divided (upper hoist to mid fly) white-blue
(wikipedia shows inverted colors) and the
bottom stripe is green.

"Blue symbolizes the skies and the water resources of the
municipality, represented by several sources and watering places,
such as La Loma, Burbuja, Las Animas, Culebrita, Andrea, El Oso,
Cundina and Bujuriama.
White symbolizes peace prevailing in the municipality. It is
also, allegorically, a symbol of the religiosity of the villagers
and their different faiths and devotions to God.
Green symbolizes the eastern cordillera, the crops and the flora
rich in deiverse shribs and plants.
The dimensions of the flag are those prescribed for flags:
- Inside houses: Length, 1.80 m; height, 1.20 m;
- Inside enclosed areas (indoors): Length, 1.35 m; height, 1.10
m;
- Inside open spaces (outdoors): Length, 2.50 m; height, 2.00
m."
