Overview

Agustėn Codazzi (or just Codazzi) is a municipality in Cesar Department. It was founded in 1784 by the Spanish Captain Salvador Felix de Arias with the name of El Pueblito del Espiritu Santo but later renamed after the Italian cartographer, Giovanni Battista Agostino Codazzi, who died in this place in 1859. In 1958 it was proclaimed as municipality. Information about Agustėn Codazzi, see at wikipedia.
The flag of Codazzi is shown at wikipedia and described at the municipal web site as horizontally divided white over green. However, the photo at the municipal web site show is charged with a small municipal emblem. As common in Colombia, both variants are, probably, in use.
