Overview

Briceño is a municipality in the Colombian Department of Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Western Boyacá Province. It became a municipality by ordinance No. 14 of 25 July 1890.
The flag of Briceño is horizontally divided (inner ratio 1:2:1) green-white-blue and charged with an coffee branch in its center.

White represents peace enjoyed by our municipality.
Green represents the abundant vegetation and flora in the municipality.
The coffee branch recalls that coffee is the main agricultural product of our economy."
Blue is the traditional colour of the Conservative Party.
