Overview

Socotá is a municipality in the Colombian Department of Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Valderrama Province. It was founded on 19 January 1602
The flag of Socotá is horizontally divided green-white-yellow-red.
Information in Spanish:
"La Bandera de Socotá al igual que el Escudo no es oficial, ni tampoco tiene descripción alguna, ENRIQUE DIAZ fue su ideólogo y la donó a la Alcaldía municipal".

"The flag of Socotá, as well as the coat of arms, is not official and has no description. Enrique Diaz designed it and offerred it to the municipality."
The flag is in use, as can be seen on a photograph taken during the "Cabalgata Rutad de la Libertad" on 30 July 2008, together with the flag of the Department of Boyacá.
