Overview

Translated from <almeida-boyaca.gov.co>:
"The flag of Almeida is composed of two colors, green and white, in diagonal form.  The green means the emerald mines and the white means the purity of our people, with three purple stars in the upper triangle that represents the three bishops that took part in the foundation of this municipality."
In the image, three purple stars appears in the white triangle, but on the Coat of Arms the flag looks inverted, with the three stars in the upper left corner.
