The plant on the flag of Genestrerio is a genista (in Italian "ginestra") making the flag canting. The bundle of tobacco (in Italian "manocco", in French "manoque" which we already saw on the flag of Henniez, Vaud canton) and the bunch of grapes are the main plants cultivated in the village.
