University Flag

On the university website are two photos of the flag of French speaking Sherbrooke University (Quebec, Canada):

  • 7 April 2005 (half-staffed flag on death of John Paul II)
  • 12 May 2005 (Himalaya)

The flag is green with a large white initial 'S'.

History overview here (in French): founded in 1954, originating out of a local Catholic seminary.

The University now has its flag

For some time now the University has its own banner. Ths standard bearing the signature of Sherbrooke University on a green ground will be used during official events. The UdsS was among the last Quebec universities not to have its own banner.

University Arms

In 2004, for its 50th anniversary, USherbrooke had its coat of arms granted by the Heraldic Authority of Canada, and launched a contest to augment the said arms with supporters, etc., that were to be sanctioned by the Heraldic Authority later, but as far as I know, nothing ever came out of this.
