Calgary Stampede (Canada)

there is a famous sports and cultural event hosted each year in Calgary - The Calgary Stampede!

The flag of the Calgary Stampede has gone through a color change over the years. The colors on the flag depicted below is what appeared in the early 1970's. In the 1980's until the present time the colors on this flag changed to red and white with the dark brown areas changed to red and the tan colored areas changed to white.

During the time of the Calgary Stampede, red flags bearing the image in white of a cowboy riding a bucking horse are displayed from street light standards at major traffic intersections throughout in the City.
