The following information about the municipal flag of the District of Coldstream, British Columbia was provided to me by Executive Research Coordinator, Irma Breitkreutz.
The Coldstream Flag Committee was formed on March 2, 1988 to consider a flag design. The Committee encouraged suggested designs from the residents and school children of Coldstream. Some one hundred submissions were received. Those people whose suggestions had particular influence on the final design of the flag were recognized during the Flag Dedication Ceremonies held December 13 and 14, 1988.
Significance of the flag's Colors:
- Red: same as Canadian flag
- Royal blue: same as BC flag
- Powder blue: our files do not specify the significance of this colour "Nulli Secundus" is Latin for "second to none"
