The flag of the Prime Minister, which is illustrated in Smith
(1980)[smi80], is the same as the
national flag but is charged with a gold parliamentary mace
placed vertically in the fly.
Vincent Morley, 16 January 1998
The flag shown in [zna99] is
blue with white disk in the middle containing the shield with
motto and the name of the country above.
The shield is of the pattern shown as 1959-1971 though with red
chief in stead of blue. Motto reads "Expulsis piratis
Restitua Commercia".
It is my guess that [zna99] here
have a "typo" and show the pre-1973 flag wrongly
captioned as "since 1973".
To hold this theory I can quote Smith 1980 already showing the
more imaginative PM flag being equal with the national flag with
the mace in fly.

This flag appear on stamp SG 719 which was issued in 1985, to
commemorate the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, held in
Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. It shows the flag of the
Bahamian Prime Minister and the Commonwealth emblem.
Ron Lahav, 20 April 2005
The flag in actual use seems to have the mace in the fly
fimbriated in black making it for a far more distinctive design.
See <www.bahamas.gov.bs>
for an image of the actual flag.

According to a letter from the BS Embassy in London dated 8
May 1998, cabinet minister's flag should present a full CoA in
the white disc, that is around the shield the portants (fish
& bird), the helm, and the motto on basement
