About the Flag of Cururupu

The municipal flag was designed by the attorney Djalma dos Santos Frazão and was aproved by the municipal chamber by law 22/85. The white triangle symbolizes the bay of Mangunça. The green, yellow and blue circles symbolize the Brazilian national colors. The other colors are the same as those of the state of Maranhão.
Area: 495.5 sq. km.
