Formed Sydney in 1922 by the amalgamation of Abermain Colleries Ltd. and Seaham Colleries Ltd. it
had a red flag with a narrow black diamond or fusil bearing a white "A" from The Log 11/1987. In 1931 it merged
into J & A Brown & Abermain Seaham Colleries Ltd.

Alcoa of Australia Inc. was formed in 1961 as joint venture between
Alcoa Inc. and an Australian consortium, one of which still owns 40%,
the rest being Alcoa Inc. As shown by The Log of 11/1987 the flag is
blue with a white oval charged with a flying bird which, I assume, is a swan seeing that the company was
formed in Western Australia.
