Description

The flag of the Queensland Police is a horizontal bicolour of sky blue over dark blue with the badge of the service at the centre. The badge of the service features a white Maltese cross, and St Edward's crown appears twice. The blue motto-scroll is inscribed with "With Honour We Serve" in white text. The badge also features a green laurel wreath.

The flag can be seen in the Queensland Police service magazine, Police Bulletin, Issue No. 310, November 2006 (available online), especially page 20.

Parade flag

Photo 5 by Terry Browne suggests that the flag paraded is no different in design to the general purpose flag above, with the exception of the additional white tassels and cords.

The lance pennon of the Queensland Police is also a horizontal bicolour of sky blue over dark blue and is double swallow-tailed in shape. The service badge is fimbriated in white and placed on the upper band only.

The pennon can be seen in the Queensland Police service magazine, Police Bulletin, Issue No. 310, November 2006 (available online), especially page 7.

Having looked at the National Police Memorial photos website, I can now summarize the patterns of lance pennons used by mounted police in each Australian state and territory:
Queensland: red above white. Proportions 1:3; swallowtail 1/3 the pennon length.
