About the district

Campana is located a few kilometers north-west of Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina.

The Partido de Campana is located at 75 Km of the City of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. This district is 955 Km˛ and it has 83,698 inhabitants in the last census (2001). Its main economical activity is industry.

The name Campana recalls Francisco Alvarez Campana a land owner of this area during colonial times. The district was legally created in 1885.

Description of the flag

According to the electronic newspaper "El Sol", 29 June 2005, the new flag of the City of Campana, based on a proposal by Deputy Estela Giroldi, will be unveiled on 6 July for the 120th anniversary of the foundation of the city.
