About the district

The Partido de Berazategui is located next to the Río de la Plata, in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires City at 26 Km of that city. It is 221 Km² and it had a total population of 287,913 inhabitants in the last census (2001). Its main economical activities are industries and commerce.

This district was created by provincial Law in 1960, being a part of the Partido de Quilmes before that.

Description of the flag

On 28 August 2007, "Diario El Sol" reported on the flag exhibition held in the town of Berazategui, part of the Autonomous Municipality of Buenos Aires. The exhibition, already seen by 7 millions of visitors in different places of the country, shows some 190 flag and coat of arms related to Argentina.

The report mentions that the flag of Berazategui, designed by the students of the Middle School #4 in a contest involving all the schools of Berazategui, will be added to the exhibition.
